Islanders gather for "Survivor" Pot Luck

Many islanders shared a dish at the annual commemoration of the fire that nearly closed J.F. Walleye's forever. The fire was October 19th 2002. The previous owner and founder of J.F. Walleye's, Bill Gross from Monroe Michigan, rebuilt Walleye's and it opened again in July of 2003. Each yaer now, a dinner pot luck party is one of the final events of the season, except for the huge Halloween Party.
